Founded in 1956 and produced in Spain, these figurines have been highly sought after for decades. So what is it that I love so much about Lladró?

Lladró Figurine: 5217 Spring
1. Their diverse finishes. I have to say that the shiny glazed finish is my favorite, but I love how Lladro never stop innovating and trying new things. In addition to their glazed finish, many figurines are available in a matte finish. Most recently Lladró introduced their gres finish. It’s earthy toned and semi-matte. With three distinct finish options, theirs something for everyone to love.
2. The intricacy of their flowers. If you’ve ever taken a close look at a Lladró figurine with lots of flowers, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The delicate leaves and the sheer number of flowers sometimes takes my breath away. Again, their diversity shines here, you can get a piece with hundreds of flowers, or you can select a design with one or two equally stunning flowers.
3. Their founding family. As someone who works for the family business and has two sisters, the story of three brothers founding the company makes me feel a bit sentimental. While the products and services a company produces are obviously important, I also love the stories of the people behind the brands.

Hummel’s are the oldest of my top 3 porcelain figurine brands. The oldest pieces date back to 1935. These German figurines feature deep colors that capture the essence of Fall. Whenever I categorize Hummels, I’m tempted to put every piece in the Fall category 😂 Hummel’s make the top 3 for a few reasons.

Hummel Figurine: Little Goat Herder - 200/I
1. They’re adventurous. Okay I guess a figurine can’t be adventurous, but they depict adventure. From climbing trees, to hiking, to playing with friends, each figurine makes me want to get outside and explore.
2. Their age. While far from the oldest collectibles on the market, I find the age of Hummel’s to make them unique. From the added character of crazed pieces, to the diversity of the products line, age has only made these collectibles better.
